CHALLENGE

Following the success of the previous year’s International Convention in Hamburg, Lions Clubs would again call upon VOLO to ensure integration of the current year’s Lions Humanitarian Award recipient into the program. The recipient would be none other than 16-time Grammy Award winner, and Canadian icon, David Foster. Known as one of the most-successful record producers in history, he is also the founder of the David Foster Foundation which supports children I need of medical transplants. VOLO would be tasked with securing, managing and producing David Foster’s appearance and additional celebrity entertainment aspects of the convention including all logistics and technical riders…as well as sourcing of the keynote speaker.

 SOLUTION

Based on a 25-year relationship, VOLO confirmed David Foster to appear, speak and perform at the 97^th Lions Clubs International Convention at the Air Canada Centre.

Four-time Grammy award winning singer, actress, and well-known advocate of breast cancer causes, Olivia Newton-John was secured as the keynote speaker by VOLO.

Adding additional star-power to the entertainment agenda were the performances of international singing sensation Brian McKnight and concert pianist and vocalist Geanina.

RESULT

A unique one-of-a-kind experience that included a rare live duet performance from Foster and Newton-John.  Over 17,000 attendees with high expectations were once again satisfied and impacted by the power of music at yet another successful Lions Clubs International Convention.
